"My husband and I recently bought a 90-year-old home in Ulster County. The walls were covered in wall paper and, in one area, carpeting (yes, you read that correctly). After interviewing several painting contractors, we chose Day One because we felt we could trust them to do a great job for a fair price. Based on our initial interactions with them, we felt comfortable leaving them with a key to the property (and we had a lot of personal items stored in the basement).
Eric and Greg also took the time to tell us in detail what the project would entail, how much it would cost, and how long it would take. The project required removal of all of wallpaper/wall-carpeting, skim coating/sanding every wall surface, and then priming/painting (this is a 2000 sq. ft., 2-story, 3 bedroom house).
Every member of the Day One team paid attention to detail, used the best quality products, and took pride in their work. These men were not just painters, but true craftsmen. The transformation to the home is unbelievable. Apologies, as I only have 1 before/1 after picture; However, I think they provide a good idea of excellent work the Day One team did.
